U2 Conference Schedule Updates
I’m not sleeping . . . anymore. I probably took a little longer winter’s nap than I should have, but I’ve also been waiting until we’ve had a few solid things to say before posting again.
Now I’m wide awake. And it’s time for you to “get on your boots” and make plans for coming to the U2 conference!
We have freshened up our homepage and installed a quick-glance feature for news updates.
We have posted more details about our schedule, such as a list of the 49 presenters and their paper titles which we accepted out of the nearly 100 submissions we received. On our tentative schedule, we’ve slotted in our keynote and featured speakers, as well as given you an idea of the choices of presentations for the breakout sessions. Once we group the 49 presentations into panels, we’ll add those details to the schedule too. (Hope to have that sorted out in a few more weeks.) And we’ll be providing more details on the talkbacks too.
Lastly, we are very honored and excited to have Agnes Nyamayarwo on our program. You might know of Agnes from her work with The AIDS Support Organization (TASO), the Mulago Positive Women’s Network (MPWN), the ONE campaign, her time with Bono and Ashley Judd on the 2002 Heart of America Tour, or from news about her meetings with President Bush and former US Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neil. We’ll be posting more information about Agnes on our site, but for now you can read a short biography of her here (PDF file) and read a more about her and the MPWN here.
Here’s a question for you, what would you like to hear from our keynote and featured speakers? If you were writing a title for one of their speeches, what would it be?
As always, thanks for reading.
