Melbourne first-time filmmaker Natalie Baker has announced that this week is the final week she can accept submissions for It’s About Music, a new film about U2’s international fan community.

With number one records in over 30 countries, sold out international tours, and 22 Grammy Awards, U2 are the biggest rock band in the world today. What is it about these four lads from Dublin that inspires such support? It’s About Music is a documentary from first time film maker Natalia Baker, that looks at U2’s appeal in diverse countries such as Brazil, Poland, Canada, Ireland, Mexico, Colombia, the Netherlands, Germany, New Zealand and Australia. The collectors, the tourists, the fan club members, the fanzine editors, the webmasters, the humanitarians, the music fans - It’s About Music looks at the powerful effect of U2’s music, and how it can educate, heal and inspire.

We’re planning to show this film at a special test screening event (its first U.S. appearance!) at the U2 conference, and we’d love to see you on the big screen.
